Do you remember how you felt on Christmas morning when you’d wake up, rush to the brightly lit Christmas tree and marvel at what Santa brought you? That’s how I’ve been feeling this week. I love ordering stuff online because it always brightens my day and adds just a bit of happiness to it when I check the mail and there’s a package there for me.
Today, it was my very first ipsy November Glam Bag! Let’s take a look inside!
Be A Bombshell EYELINER (WILD CHILD)
I swatched the colour on my hand (see below), and it appears to be a charcoal grey/black that I can’t wait to use. Plus it’s a mechanical pencil, so no sharpening required. I hate sharpening pencils – there’s always that awkward moment where you don’t want to sharpen it TOO much otherwise it’ll break. Thank goodness for mechanical eyeliners.
tre’StiQue MATTE LIP CRAYON (FLORENCE FIG)
Oh my-lanta! This is gorgeous (see below for swatch). I tried it on right away and fell in love with its smooth texture, easy to apply, and oh so adorable lid. The colour itself is a nice, rich nude – something I don’t often like, but it’s so similar to my lip colour that I’ll for sure be using this. It’s also got Vitamin E in it, which helps nourish and moisturise, so although it is a matte lip crayon, the hope is that your lips won’t dry out.
Albertini International WARM LOVE PUMPKIN EXFOLIATING MASK
This I haven’t tried yet, but it smells divine. I used to loathe all things pumpkin, but lately the smell has become a fall staple. I’m curious to see if this exfoliates and warms like it says it does. Stay tuned.
Smashbox FULL EXPOSURE MASCARA
Hello, nurse! My lashes were ridiculous after using this. After taking my makeup off for the night, I had to test this out. I was definitely more than happy with this product; the brush is full, the amount of mascara is just right, and it doesn’t clump. Let’s be real, nothing is worse than clumpy, spider lashes. You have more than 8 eyelashes for a reason – SEPARATE THOSE PUPPIES. Highly debating buying a full size of this bad boy.
Dermelect ‘ME’ PEPTIDE INFUSED NAIL LACQUER (COMMANDO)
It’s no secret that I love nail polish, so I was stoked to see a new nail colour in my ipsy bag. I had to google ‘peptide’, so for those of you who kinda nodded along to the word, it’s a protein that’s extracted from sheep’s wool, in this particular case, the sheep are from New Zealand. The keratin peptide helps to strengthen brittle, easily chipped nails and makes them more resistant to chipping and peeling. As a server, I’m always washing my hands, and as a blogger my nails hit the keyboard more often than I would like; I’m excited to see how long this nail polish lasts.
Look at those colours. If you don’t like that, well… alright, I suppose not everyone will have the same tastes as I do, but you have to admit it’s gorgeous.
Well, that’s November. I’m looking forward to what December has to bring!
