Phew! Almost didn’t make it in time, but it’s still March!
Okay, seriously now. Where did March go?
This month flew right by, but oddly enough February seemed to drag on for ages. I pretty much blame this on school and work. I feel like that’s all I’ve been doing lately. Even my blogging schedule’s been slacking this month, and this makes me very, very sad.
I’m back again with my March obsessions. Unlike previous months, I only have 4 things I’ve really, truly been obsessed with.
My wardrobe is growing as a result of my shopping addiction. My bank account isn’t too happy about it, but my closet is thrilled.
This month I bought a ton of basics: white tees, navy tees, striped black/beige and white tanks, jeans, grey sweaters.. so many neutrals! If you haven’t heard of a capsule wardrobe, click here and read a little bit about it – it’s one of the best articles I’ve read on the subject, and it’s easy to follow.
Essentially, it’s a small collection of clothing that you love and can mix and match it all into a few dozen outfits. It’s basically the best idea ever, and now that I’ve figured out that this is pretty much the best idea ever, I’m so excited to get rid of some of the clothes I never wear and start building a brand new wardrobe.
GAME OF THRONES
I can’t even begin to describe how obsessed I am with this show.
Wait, here’s a good example: I watched all five seasons this month. That’s 50 episodes. That’s 2750 minutes of pure, intense television. I spent full days doing nothing but watching Game of Thrones, and I’m not even sorry for it.
If you haven’t watched this series, do yourself a huge favor and do it. The first six episodes are ridiculous and so many names are thrown at you – I won’t lie, it’s very difficult to keep up. But it is so, SO worth it. I even got my hands on all fives books so that I could get more backstory on the characters (and to relive the magic of the series).
I’m super happy I was talked into watching this, but now I have to wait until April 24th to watch the new season.
Winter is coming, my friends, and it’s intense.
MATCHA GREEN TEA LATTES
Before I begin, a little disclaimer: I love coffee. Coffee will always be my first love.
Lately, however, I’ve been indulging in a few matcha green tea lattes, just because a) they’re delicious, and b) matcha’s got some great health benefits to it!
Did you know that when you drink one cup of matcha green tea, you’re actually drinking the equivalent of 10 cup of regular green tea? Or that it has 137 times more antioxidants than normal green tea? Let’s not forget that it’s also a detoxifier, calorie-burner, metabolism-booster, and it helps lower cholesterol.
So, yeah, I’m not afraid to admit that I sometimes switch my coffee out for a green tea latte. Health, baby.
SELENA GOMEZ – HANDS TO MYSELF
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m really not the biggest Selena Gomez fan, but I cannot stop listening to this song. It’s just so catchy and easy to listen to. I’m not really a pop music fan, but I do enjoy songs that make me feel like dancing or just having a good time in general, and this song definitely does that.
I may have even downloaded the full album. Here’s a hint: I did.
This song (and video!), though.
And just like that, another month has come and gone.
Wasn’t it just Christmas? Didn’t I just ring in the New Year?
PS. Aren’t those flowers in the feature photo gorgeous? I’m getting into the habit of buying myself flowers.. cause.. well, why not? #TreatYoSelf
