ipsy December Glam Bag

It’s finally here!

I’ve been getting emails telling me that my glam bag had shipped, and finally, Tuesday was the day that I checked the mail and it sparkled its pretty little pink package right at me.

This is the second bag I’ve received from ipsy (you can read about the November bag here), and I’m happy to report that I’m still pretty impressed by what was sent to me.

Check it out.

ipsy December Glam Bag Items

  1. Swissco // Precision Beauty Tweezers
I like to keep up my brows every day after I shower and before I apply my face cream + makeup. These tweezers are pretty decent – they’re fairly thin and have a sleek edge which makes gripping the itty bitty eyebrow hairs easy. They’re not overly large either, so they fit perfectly in my hand and make for quick hair removal.
    They’re also pink – so.. #winning.
  2. Pacifica Power Of Love Natural Lipstick // Nudie Red
As much as I love the color of this lipstick, and the fact that it’s all natural, I can’t get over how drying it is. After putting it on, I immediately had to pop a moisturizing lip gloss on top. Even though it’s packed with shea butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E, the only downside to this lipstick is that it really dried out my lips. On the plus side, I love how matte it is; lose/win situation.
  3. Tarte // Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder
This was probably my favorite product in the bag. I love a good finishing powder – it smooths out the look of your skin, helps minimize the look of pores, helps reduce redness and dry skin, and also balances out the look of oily skin. This product does all of those things + helps keep your makeup on your face.
150% would recommend this to every single person I know.
    Maybe 175%.
  4. Be Fine Exfoliating Skin Cleanser // Brown Sugar, Sweet Almond & Oats
If anything, the best thing about this product is the smell. Glorious almonds and brown sugar – mmm. I was tempted to taste it – don’t worry, I didn’t – as soon as I used it. The texture the brown sugar gave was a perfect little exfoliant, and it’s filled with almond, eucalyptus, and orange oil, which are all full of various benefits for your skin.
Promptly after using it, my skin felt super smooth and hydrated – almost as if I put a new layer of skin on. The winter normally dries out my skin, even overnight, but the next morning my skin felt just as smooth as it did right after I used the product.
This, I would probably invest in and buy again.
  5. Thank Me Later // Elizabeth Mott’s Eyeshadow Primer
So here’s the thing: I worked a 7-hour shift, running around a restaurant feeling super gross and sweaty, and usually after a shift like this my eyeshadow is barely there. After using this primer, my eyeshadow looked perfect and didn’t budge at all. It honestly looked as though I had just applied it at that moment.
110% am looking forward to using this primer again.
If you don’t use primer (both eye/face) – start. Now.

I absolutely love receiving my ipsy bag. It’s the perfect little pick me up mid-month, after paying rent and all of those other bills that come with being an adult. Plus, it lets me try out new products I wouldn’t normally buy!

My favorite product that I received is the Hello Lashes mascara by IT Cosmetics! And I agree with you on the Power of Love lipstick, it is very drying!

It’s really unfortunate because the color is so pretty! I would wear it daily. Thanks for the comment! :)
