I’m currently sitting in bed, staring out the window and sipping coffee – only because it’s too early to drink wine, obviously. My nail polish is chipping, my lips are chapped, and my hair is a mess; what can I say, I’m a
hot mess blogger.
But that doesn’t matter, you can’t see me anyway.
Tuesday Thoughts: The ‘Why’ Edition.
WHY ARE YOU SO COLD, CANADA?
It’s not like this comes as a shock; I’ve lived here my entire life. But seriously, I can wear a light sweater one day, and the next I’m wrapping myself in blanket scarves and praying to God I don’t see a flake of snow fall from the sky.
I don’t mind the cold. I’m perfectly capable of bundling up, and really, I love the layered look and accessorizing to autumn weather, but something’s gotta give.
This flip-flopping weather is driving me crazy, though. Just once I’d like to leave my house knowing that the temperature will be the same five hours from when I left.
My skin is so dry, too. It doesn’t matter how much I moisturize, my hands are still dry and sad that winter is on it’s way.
This actually is a perfect segue into my next why..
WHY DO I KEEP BITING MY NAILS?
I used to bite my nails notoriously as a child, but I’ve grown out of it. I started getting manicures and loved the way my nails looked, and even now I’ll get a shellac manicure and won’t bite my nails.
It’s gotta be stress; I’m almost done my certificate (only a few weeks left!). I’ve been working less, but that only means that I’m not making as much money as I should be, and to be frank, no companies care about what money you’re bringing in, as long as your bills are paid and they get their money.
And let’s be serious here, finding work as a freelance writer when you’re just starting out and haven’t much of a portfolio built to promote yourself is hard. Blogging is hard work, too.
Someone hire me as a writer so I can stop biting my nails, please and thanks.
WHY CAN’T I BE A PROFESSIONAL PUZZLE DO-ER?
I’ve lately rekindled my love of completing puzzles. I just finished two 1000 piecers, and have started a new one. It’s so relaxing. I legitimately could do this all day. That satisfaction you get when you link those two pieces together and see the picture you’re building come to life is just wicked.
Unfortunately, doing puzzles is not a career option. This really sucks, too, cause I’m like, REALLY good at puzzles.
It’s Tuesday. *slurps coffee*
Til next time..
