I Watched “13 Reasons Why” (and Why You Should Too)

People have been talking about the new Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. It’s all over my social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.. literally, ALL OVER. I remember buying the book at a used book store a few years ago, and really wanting to read it. I never got around to it, but it’s always grabbed my interest.

So, I admit it, I caved and gave the series a try (also, young adult/new adult series are my guilty pleasure.. so there’s that).

13 episodes later, I’m sitting here with my almost cold coffee (I know, right?) writing this because I believe that every single human on this earth needs to see this.

And don’t worry, there are no spoilers in this post!

My Struggle With Anxiety

I’m not writing this in search for sympathy, or a “there, there” with a pat on the head; I want to share my struggle with anxiety so that if other people are going through the same thing, they know they’re not alone.

Although it’s becoming less taboo to talk about, it’s still a subject that not many people understand – especially those who haven’t experienced it first hand.

It’s also the reason why I haven’t posted anything in a while. Well, that, and school, but mostly because I’d find myself in an “attack” and not know what to do.

So, here it is.

I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder (GAD).
